Plt Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Baubau, La Mane, menyampaikan bahwa konsolidasi menjadi fondasi penting dalam memastikan seluruh program berjalan searah dengan tujuan pembangunan daerah. Ia menegaskan pentingnya kesamaan pemahaman dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas.
“Langkah pertama adalah membangun konsolidasi agar seluruh jajaran memiliki pemahaman yang sama dalam menerjemahkan visi daerah, khususnya kata kunci ‘cerdas’ dalam pembangunan pendidikan,” ujar La Mane, Rabu (17/6/2026).
Menurutnya, salah satu fokus utama adalah mewujudkan Kota Baubau sebagai kota budaya yang cerdas melalui peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Ia menegaskan bahwa seluruh kebijakan pendidikan harus berbasis pada penguatan layanan dan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah.
Selain konsolidasi, Dinas Pendidikan juga menyoroti pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi tenaga pendidik dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi. La Mane mengakui bahwa transformasi digital telah mengubah pola pembelajaran secara signifikan, termasuk di Indonesia sejak masa percepatan pembelajaran daring pada pandemi COVID-19 tahun 2020–2021 yang juga dialami banyak negara di dunia sebagai tonggak digitalisasi pendidikan global.
“Guru harus mampu beradaptasi dengan teknologi. Kami terus mendorong pemanfaatan perangkat pembelajaran digital seperti papan interaktif agar proses belajar lebih efektif,” kata La Mane.
Ia juga menyoroti perlunya pendampingan bagi guru senior dalam penguasaan teknologi pembelajaran. Kondisi ini menjadi perhatian khusus mengingat tidak semua tenaga pendidik memiliki tingkat literasi digital yang sama, sehingga diperlukan program penguatan kapasitas secara berkelanjutan.

Selain aspek teknologi, Disdikbud Baubau juga memperkuat sinergi antara dinas dan satuan pendidikan. La Mane menegaskan bahwa sekolah dan dinas tidak dapat berjalan sendiri, melainkan harus menjadi satu sistem yang terintegrasi dalam pelaksanaan kebijakan pendidikan.
“Sekolah dan Dinas Pendidikan adalah satu kesatuan. Dinas merumuskan kebijakan, sementara sekolah menjadi pelaksana di lapangan,” tegasnya. Pembukaan PMB ini hadir di tengah meningkatnya tren global pendidikan tinggi berbasis keagamaan yang juga berkembang di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia, yang dalam dua dekade terakhir memperkuat transformasi perguruan tinggi Islam dari institut menjadi universitas untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.
STAI YPIQ Baubau pada tahun akademik ini menawarkan tiga program studi utama, yakni Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), Bimbingan dan Penyuluhan Islam (BPI), serta Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD). Ketiga program ini dirancang untuk menjawab kebutuhan tenaga pendidik dan konselor berbasis nilai keislaman.
Kepala Sub Bagian Kemahasiswaan STAI YPIQ Baubau, Wa Ode Riska Fauzia Ali, S.Pd., M.Pd., menegaskan bahwa kampus berkomitmen menghadirkan pendidikan berkualitas dengan biaya yang tetap terjangkau bagi masyarakat. “Kampus ini juga didukung berbagai fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran seperti ruang kelas interaktif, perpustakaan, akses internet, dan lokasi yang strategis di pusat Kota Baubau,” ujarnya.
Ia menambahkan bahwa STAI YPIQ Baubau turut menyediakan program beasiswa bagi mahasiswa yang memenuhi syarat tertentu. Menurutnya, kebijakan ini diharapkan dapat memperluas kesempatan pendidikan bagi masyarakat dari berbagai latar belakang ekonomi.
Dari sisi pembiayaan, kampus menetapkan SPP sebesar Rp1.500.000 per semester yang dapat dicicil hingga tiga kali pembayaran. “Skema pembayaran ini kami siapkan agar tidak membebani mahasiswa maupun orang tua,” kata Riska.
Proses pendaftaran mahasiswa baru dapat dilakukan secara langsung maupun daring. Untuk pendaftaran offline, calon mahasiswa dapat menghubungi pihak kampus melalui nomor 0852-4476-1728, sementara pendaftaran online tersedia melalui kontak 0853-4456-0414.
